Yes. I have just gotten back to agency after 5 years. I am still 'feeling out' the agency climate in my area and new practices. My previous agencies paid me time and trouble and my current agency has yet to do this. Apparently they do not believe in it.
I may move on to another agency if it becomes a recurring problem. I know it's aggravating.
Well... not to say that I think they should not do anything less then pay you; another althernative is to be more proactive in calling patients first before going. I used to do this in setting up my appointments throughout the day. Is this possible? Then if they do not answer you can tell the agnecy that you are not going unless they can guarantee you time and trouble the next time.

Please tell me if I am wrong...
I work in home health w/ kids... yesterday one of the lil tikes got very sick and family sent to hosp... Being the person I am... I called up agency and told them what was going on... super told me to plan on going to the home unless I heard otherwise..
So guess what? I get there.. no kiddo to take care of...I asked super if I would get paid for time travel there...Because it was their fault for not contacting me... I got a resounding "NO" becuz I wasn't taking care of her...Yes, I understand their view...but it :angryfire :angryfire me up pretty bad... they have done this twice...
Anyone else have this prob? Any advice would be greatly appreciated...THanks!!
