I am a recent RN graduate and while waiting for my code to test, my application was placed under review of the investigation branch. I have a charge that has been expunged from my record for paraphernalia (Marijuana bowl) it happen more than 5 years ago. I was also arrested for an unpaid parking ticket which I also took care of. Both of these I disclosed when I submitted my application. I also had an issue while I was in school where I took a drug test for a Clincal site (on a Friday) but did not sign the consent form, when I asked to resubmit another sample (that following Monday) they denied me to do so, so I left the site and I believe they turned me into the board as a failed drug test. My school was aware of the situation and helped me through it, but now I don't know what is going to happen? Can anyone give me any advice, will this keep me from getting my license?

More than five years ago might seem like a long time, but the BON has made applicants jump through hoops over less. I suspect you'll get licensed eventually, but it may be a longer road than you've anticipated.

Here is a section of the site that you might find of interest:

I expect to have to jump through some hoops and it doesn't state this process can take 3 months or longer, As long as this will not keep me from being able to test and get my license, I'll jump through whatever hoops they need me too!
