First Google 'first offense dui (your state)' then consult an attorney. Some states are harder on this than others. Odds are you'll be fine in then end, but it will cost you around 10K and maybe a couple nights in jail if you haven't already done that. Power thru, get it behind you and maybe think about a recovery group if this isn't just an odd one off, which, as these things go, usually are not.
In the state of Tennessee, you have to report a conviction to the BON. Likely, you will have to undergo some type of monitoring at the least and at the worst, you could have your license revoked. I would recommend seeking legal counsel regarding your nursing license for what to report and when. You don't want the BON to find out on their own.

Hello!
I have a DUI charge that I will be going to court for this month. I know I am required to report it to the TBON. Is there anyone that has gone through this that can walk me through how the process works? Will I likely have my license revoked with this being my first offense?
thanks for any help.
