Hi! I am applying for the nursing program at Scottsdale community college and was wondering if they still did the partnership with Scottsdale healthcare? Please let me know as soon as possible. I have been dying to know as I will be starting the nursing application soon.

Thanks!

She is not talking about a clinical partnership.

I have heard that they either do not offer it anymore, or won't be pretty soon. Since the wait list time reduced, they no longer need to pay for their employees to go to the front of the wait list. But this would be something you would need to ask your HR manager or whoever at HonorHealth handles the HH-SCC partnership. I believe there is a wait within HonorHealth to gain entrance this way, and it is based on seniority.

I am currently a student @ SCC and yes they do have the Scottsdale Healthcare partnership program.

Basically even if there are no openings with the partnership program they will allow you to enter with the public, then switch you to partnership if other students drop out and there is an opening.

wow thank you so much for letting me know! :)

What is the difference between the Partnership Program and ADN or CEP program? I am very familiar with the ADN and CEP options, but I don't understand how the Partnership plays in.

Is anyone able to explain the benefits of this program? Time comitment? Etc, etc... Where would I find details?

I currently work for HonorHealth in a non-patient care position.

Thank you!

The partnership program is not something different. Ask your HR if they still do it. Basically HonorHealth gives money to SCC to let their employees go to the front of the line and not wait in the CC wait list. They then pay for your tuition while in school. Since I do not work for HonorHealth, I don't know if they still offer this or if there is any internal wait.

There is no additional work as it is not a separate program. It is the same program, it just helps employees get into a nursing program faster.

Thank you MrsBoots! It makes much more sense now! I will be contacting HR on Monday. I really hope this is still being offered.

Kittenears, will you let me know what you find out?

Thanks in advance! :)

Karenwlee,

I would be happy to give you the scoop when I get some concrete details. Thus far, I have learned that the program does still exist!!! Very good news! I have emails circulating between HH HR and SCC in order to get more details.

Do you currently work for HH? Are you already on the waitlist? I am at the Shea campus. Always looking for future nursing friends!

I will keep you posted!

KittenEars,

Thank you so much! Hope to hear more soon! And yes I work at Osborn campus! :) I am on the wait list as well! I'm not sure if it's the normal wait list or the wait list coordinating with HH, because the online nursing system is down so I have no idea :(
