Please help-Scottsdale Community College

Published

Hi! I am applying for the nursing program at Scottsdale community college and was wondering if they still did the partnership with Scottsdale healthcare? Please let me know as soon as possible. I have been dying to know as I will be starting the nursing application soon.

Thanks!

Karenwlee,

Did you somehow, indicate on your original application that you wanted to participate in the Partnership Program? I am emailing the district office for Maricopa Nursing now, trying to find out how to indicate this preference....

Ok, another update. I spoke with ----------------- at the SCC Admissions and Records office today, she is the "expert" for the nursing program in that office. I submitted a copy of my latest pay stub, she filed this and contacted district to make them aware that I've declared myself as a HonorHealth Employee.

She assured me it could only help my chances of getting in sooner, but would not hinder them. However, she is newer to her position and could not offer me any additional information on how much further ahead on the list I would be, etc.

Also, I've been in contact with -----------------------, a nursing advisor from SCC, she has offered to answer any question I have about the Partnership.

I also updated my campus preferences with district via email today, placing SCC in my first choice. I am not certain this would have mattered but I figured it can't hurt.

To be honest, most of the people in the Admission and Records office looked at me like I had two heads when I first told them about what I was trying to accomplish.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

Hey! Thank you this does help me a lot! And to answer your question I turned in my application with my pay stub and my advisor said that was all I needed to do to show that I worked for HonorHealth. But she told me the wait would be 1-2 years? I sure hope not :/ I say this because I had a coworker who worked at HonorHealth and got in with the partnership program within a month! So hopefully we get lucky like her!

I as well just called the district office and got my choices updated. I put SCC as my first choice as well!

Also, did you get any email from Nursing Maricopa at all? The only email I have gotten was one that stated that my application was entered into the system. I haven't gotten any other email yet. My nursing advisor told me that we should be receiving an email with further information on the application/placement process soon!
