Don't get overwhelmed by the thought of having SATA on your exam. Instead, treat it as any other question and know that it will be weighed equally just like the multiple choice. If you put SATA questions on a pedestal then you'll decrease the importance of the multiple choice questions and those make up the majority of the exam!
From my experience, the SATA questions were straightforward and if you have a good content base, you can answer the question easily. Remember, the NCLEX is not trying to trick you; instead it's trying to see if you know what you should as a new nurse.
If you need to, practice a little more on SATA so that you can get a bit more comfortable with it. But trust me, it won't rule your exam. Treat each question as if it were the only one in your exam and I think you'll do fine!
Good Luck!

Yes SATA are a pain in the gluteus maximus I agree. The strategy I heard is the best is to:
1. First decide on weather you are looking for something right or something wrong about the particular questions
2. Look at each answer independently of all the others and decide "is this right or wrong" in relation to the question asked
3. Mark and don't second guess or go back and change
Sounds simple but if you apply this it could clear some of the confusion involved with these type of dreadful questions...GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!
i hope so... I hope i will find them easy. I'm really nervous! this would be my 2nd time. I hope i can pass this time.Did you guys felt ready before the test or were you confident to pass before the test?
For the test, I felt confident about it during my studying as well as on the big test day. It was kind of like I was psyching myself out in order to not make the test seem scarier than what it really was! However, I did have a healthy dose of anxiety since it was the only thing keeping me from being a registered nurse. I studied for about 8 weeks and by the time my test rolled around, I was either ready or I wasn't! There's just too much info for my little brain, but I felt I had the basics covered.
If you know that you gave it your all throughout your studying then you should be fine. What it all boils down to is confidence in yourself and your ability to pass this test. It's totally possible and I know you can achieve your goal!
I'm not a very religious person, but my mom and auntie said a prayer for me before I took my test and I honestly believe that having a good support system will make things easier for you. If you have friends and family who can send kind words your way then it can make even your darkest hours a little brighter!
Believe in yourself and know that you are capable of great things!!!

RNindmaking i would say just practice this week and like KAYBDT6 said think of every option as true or false and once you consider it false dont go back and change it. i too am taking mine for the 2nd time on sept 2nd! and i know we both can do it! we've studied hard and will be RNs! please keep us posted! ill keep you in my prayers
thanks nrcolee6! Let's keep believing that we can make it this time just like others who made it the second time. I know it's easy to say " i'm just fine it's only a test." However,at the back of my our minds we're conquered by our anxiety & fears. I leave all up to God. His will be done on my exam.
God bless to us and Goodluck! We can also be RNs.:wink2:
