Another place to look for caregiver jobs are the bulletin boards at the various schools of nursing in the area. Schools often post job openings on their bulletin boards.

caliotter3 I have a good news that I wanna share w/ you b/c you're the one here that offered me the most help, tips & advices on my resume and how to find a job. So today I received an email from the manager inviting me for an interview this Friday. I am so excited and very joyful4_1_205.gif that they give me this great opportunity. I never go to the job interview before so I'm so nervous for this upcoming one because I'm worry that they might ask me some tough questions and I can't answer it.

Now I will have to do research and practice answering the most common interview's questions just to make me feel more prepare and confident:D

There is nothing to stop you from going to the school and looking at the bulletin boards now. You don't have to be a student to look around the campus as long as you paid for your parking if required!

Go over in your mind how to do vital signs. Be prepared to discuss your ability to work with many patients if you are interviewing at a facility. Be able to say that you have good organizational skills and learn quickly and that you think that teamwork with your fellow CNAs is important. Be ready to tell them that you would inform the supervising nurse if you notice anything wrong with a resident, to include abnormal vital signs or anything else out of the ordinary. And tell them you are a hard worker, punctual, and dependable. Hope you get the job!

Because it would take me an hour to get from my home to the school for 1 way, 2 hrs for both that's why I'm thinking to wait til I get back to school in the Fall to looking at the bulletin boards for any job available. But I might sooner if I cant find any job...

Well I applied for CNA job at the LTC but didnt get the call yet, this interview is for the caregiver job through the agency. Thanks for the tips that you provided above, I think I can use that too b/c cna and caregiver tasks are very similar so I guess I can use that tips during interview too. The cna job is like my dream job for now b/c I wanna use my certificate b4 it expire. And a caregiver job is also my 2nd favorite job b/c I like to work w/ one patient so I get to know them more and not having to work at a quick pace at all. I hope the interview go well this Friday and it would help me get the job b/c I :heartbeat to working and helping people so much. So thanks for your support!!!:)

Oh and 1 more thing to share here that I signed up for volunteering at this facility near my home 2 mths ago and finally the volunteer coordinator call me today and tell me to come in next week for orientation. Wow I am so excited to hearing this b/c I love to work here as a volunteer so much. The 2 main reasons is b/c it's very close to my house and I hope they would hire me in the future when they have opening position for cna. Based on the rating website this facility only have 1 star but I guess I wouldnt mind at all. I guess this is my lucky:D week b/c I have 2 great news which I have waiting for a very long time:lol2:

UPDATE:

Hi caliotters,

So today I went to the interview and 2 ppl took turn to interview me. I'm very nervous b4 the interview b/c this is the 1st time I ever go for it. But it's doesnt seem as bad as I'm worry b/c their questions are very short and simple. Overall the interview went very well. These 2 ladies are very nice, very glad to have such the interviewers like that. At the end they asked me can they call my references and informed me that they'll run a background check on me (it'll deduct $20 from my 1st check). Also they asked when I'm available for the orientation and said that they'll email me soon. So does that mean I'm gonna get the job:rolleyes:? Crossing my fingers.:lol2:

I gave each of the interviewer my resume & references, turned in a copy of DL, TB skin test paper, CPR card, certificate of auto insurance and my cna card (they didnt ask for this but I turned it in anyway).

So thanks again for your great critique for my resume b/c it really make a big improvement!!:)
