Your thread can be retitled "please help, responses needed for nursing survey, master's project". If you post the link than others are more likely to respond as right now your formatting is difficult to read.

Since this is a university requirement, do you need to have an IRB approval/disclaimer? Not all schools require this.

Thank you very much for your response. I wasnt told tha I will need IRB approval, its anonymous, the only requirement is, it has to be RN who answers the questions, not those in nursing school.

How can you vouch for the truth behind these answers of a respondent on an anonymous online internet site??? I'm sure there are restrictions for research that addresses this. Maybe even your school program has guidelines.

thank you for your concern, but this website was actually suggested to me by my peers. Surveys are never going to be 100% accurate, there is always going to be a margin of error. Its better to post my survey here, where there is credibility, than posting my survey on craiglist.

Just FYI - by checking your profile, I see that you're most likely new to the site. You may NOT be aware that not all participants here are nurses, but include physcians, spouses of nurses, young high-schoolers, therapists, business owners, etc - all sorts of folk who ARE NOT nurses (nobody needs a license # to sign-up). Professionals and non-professionals. A truck-driver nurse wannabe. Anybody.

Having said that, I repeat my concern. I've participated in research and, personally, I would not be recruiting subjects on-line. I believe that nurses here are professional and would sincerely like to assist another peer/colleague. But....your dissertation is a significant endeavor, and I would hope that all respondents are truly honest for the sake of your project (nurse/patient advocacy). I couldn't accept that level of ambiguity/uncertainty. Good luck.

I am very much aware of that, thats the case with everyone that we meet in our everyday life. We can only hope people are who they say they are, and they are sincere.

I also hope that people who are going to help me with my project are going to be sincere, but I dont cannot proof if they are sincere or not. The same with, if I was to give my survey to nurses working at a certain hospital, I wont be able to prove if their answers are sincere or not, so your concern is an all around problem to be realistic.
