Hi!
I was recently diagnosed with this and the fasciitis is getting better with orthotics, anti inflammatories and exercise, but my foot is now numb on the outerside? Anyone experienced this issue as well? Will it go away? My thinking is that when my heel and arch hurt so bad, I walked on the edge of my foot because it was sore too for a while. But now it is numb. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

You need to follow up with your doctor about the foot numbness. I can tell you this, using orthotics changes the way your foot interacts with the ground so you are walking on different parts of your foot that you may not have used properly in the past when your feet hurt so bad. Orthotics help by normalizing your gait pattern so your body moves more in the way it is meant to as opposed to compensating to avoid pain and wear and tear.
After following up with your doctor you might look into a pair of shoes called Z-coils, you can find info on them at z-coil. com. These shoes helped me enormously.
Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving.
