I am still in school, will graduate December 2015. I recently became engaged and we are planning a wedding for October 2016. We don't want to rush anything.
It has just dawned on me that I will be having a wedding/honeymoon and getting a new job at the same time! Has anyone heard of this? Recruiters on this page have any information? Not sure how it looks going through an interview or just being hired asking for a week off for a honeymoon.
Ideally in my perfect world I would graduate, take NCLEX and have a job by March or April but that probably won't work out that way with the job market.
Thinking I might need to reschedule my wedding but also thinking why plan life on the "what if" when it comes to something as special as a wedding. Any thoughts?

I think it depends a lot on what you can afford, lets be honest money is stressful. Can you afford your wedding without being an RN?

I graduated, contracted to have a home built, was planning a wedding, and looking for a job. I had a bit more time between graduation and the wedding than you, but it did not prevent me from being hired. No one at the interview asked, and I didn't tell them. I will fortunately be working for a long enough period of time not to worry about time off for the honeymoon-I will have vacation time coming. However, I would never tell anyone in an interview that I need time off in the future. I got lucky in that I work 3 12s, so even if I didn't have vacation time coming by then I could arrange a schedule so that I would work shifts at the beginning of one week and the end of the next to get 6 days off in a row.
There are ways around this, concentrate on graduating and passing NCLEX, then let the rest just fall into place.
Thanks to both of you! I am planning the wedding on my current budget so money is not the issue. I was concerned that it was cutting it so close. With todays market it would not be a long shot to think if I graduate in December take boards a month or two later it could take me 3-4 months to get hired which could be as late as July. Makes me nervous that I wont have the time or they wont hire me at all. Hopefully whom even I get hired with will be understanding of the life event I have ahead. Thank you for your advice. :)
