There are no problems or issues, just a bunch of rumors floating aorund Manila.
The biggest issue is living in the US for 4 1/2 months without any job or income coming in. If you get caught working illegally here, then it is automatic deporting with no return for at least ten years.
If you come here to take the exam, and do pass, it is 60 days before a petition can be submitted on your behalf, it cannot be done right away, and then there is another two months or so until you get permission to work, and then another week or so to get your SSN#.
An ddo not even consider it until you actually have permission from a state to sit for the exam, the process can take months otherwise.
Please read the stickies at the top of this forum.

So is it then safe to state upon entry to the US that the purpose of your visit/tour is to take the NCLEX? My thanks in advance...
You are coming for a visit. If not asked specifically, do not offer. You are free to come to the US on a tourist visa to visit. Period.......

it is not advisable.. you should be cautious because you might experience A to A (airport to airport) doing that...because they will think that if foreign nurses are going to take the exam in the US and they passed, they'll not go back to their country again.. got it?
