this is how my sister's invitation read and i'll probably use it too...........
i have strived for and accomplished an inportant goal in my life of which i am very proud. as a member of the practical nursing class at "name of school" i "your name" am pleased to announce my graduation ceremony on thursday, august twenty-first two thousand and three at two o'clock in the afternoon. please join me at "location" .
i would like to read others if anyone wants to share so i could have more opions.
Being a poor nursing student, I have decided to make my own pinning/graduation invitations to save a little money. I want to have either a short quote or poem to go on my invitation, but I am having trouble finding meaningful ones. The saying that my school put on their invitations is "May I be a kind and dedicated nurse. . ." While I like this one, I was hoping to find something else that would be inspirational. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Good luck to all the current students and especially to all of my fellow graduates!!! :)
Hi, I too did my own invitations...if I can find a copy of one I will send it to you. I used a couple of Florence Nightangale quotes and some clipart that I came across.
OK seriously... how 'bout "To be prepared is half the victory" by Cervantes? Or, how's this one for appropriate to finishing nursing school - although the administrators might not like it: "Success is to be measured not so much by the position one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed." ~ Booker T. Washington. I really like this one, although it's more appropriate to a congratulations card than an invitation: "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams."
