hi my name is Mariz,can anyone help me on how can I apply for me to take my nclex-rn? Im RN from Manila and now Im here in NJ as an immigrant as my dad petitioned me. In what state I can apply nclex-rn without requiring a CGFNS? Hope you can help me...thanks and God Bless :-)

You really need to apply for the state that you intend on working in/living in.

Because if you apply in a different state that does not require CGFNS and get a license, if you try to transfer (get endorsement/reciprocity) in a state that DOES require CGFNS, you will still have to fulfill that requirement of that state t get licensed there.

It would also be better to have posted this in the International forum. Most general nurses are not familiar with the additional requirements of foreign educated and/or immigrating nurses, and will not be familiar with CGFNS, etc.

Most states require CGFNS or some other approved company that reviews your nurse transcripts. As suggested you really should apply to the state you plan on living in because you generally still have to meet requirements. For example I took my initial application with New York and they do CVS but when I got a job in AZ and applied to endorse my license I still had to get CES done by CGFNS
