anyone else have to wait an incredible amount of time just to start nursing?! ive waited two years just to start the nursing program at pima college in tucson. its so frustrating the wait list is so long!

Even here in Maricopa they're starting to loosen up. A friend of mine moved to Yavapai county to escape waiting list hell and just graduated a semester ago. Would that be a possibility for you? Because as far as I know, neither Yavapai nor Mojave county have any waiting lists.

May 26, 2015 I waited 2 and 1/2 years for my program mainly because it's a lottery based program...was I should say. As much as that wait did suck, I don't regret it because I would have never gotten into any other community college school that was GPA/point based since my grades weren't top notch nor was my HESI score (I believe I got like an 82 or something). It's not just your school, I think a lot of schools are like that, whether it's a university or community college. Nursing is getting impacted, has been I should say.

cgambino70 163 Posts Has 2 years experience. Dec 23, 2015 My school on florida has no wait list. You either get in or apply next time. About 500 plus applicants each semester for about 90 spots. Most in my class applied multiple times and a third applied 3 times. I feel lucky I got in the first time.
