Chemistry and Anatomy over summer break??
Definitely don't do both at the same time during a Summer semester. It would make you feel really overwhelmed with all of the material you'd have to learn in such a short period of time. I'd say only take 1 class over the Summer semester and then take the other in the Fall.

Santa Fe College ASN 2015 hopefuls!
Oh okay! Lol yes I am. The post didn't have a tag for state so I automatically assumed New Mexico.

What Type of Entrance Test is Required?
Depends on the school. Three of the colleges in my area require TEAS and one is HESI.

Santa Fe College ASN 2015 hopefuls!
Oh wow! Not too bad. I ended up printing out their requirements and I would only need 1 more class to be able to apply. Is it pretty competitive getting into SFCC? Sorry, just moved to Albuquerque about 2 months ago so still pretty new to the colleges around here.

What are the requirements to get into the Santa Fe program?? I'm applying to GCU for BSN but wanting to keep my options open!

Passed my HESI!
I'm surprised too. They only had a couple of test moderators and they didn't even notice it.

GCU Spring 2016 Hopefuls
Thank you! I really wish I could apply to the campuses outside of Albuquerque but due to finances I don't have that option. I've heard there are going to be changes within the admissions. Fast track summer program was cancelled at the main campus in AZ and they were told that they're going to be more focused on GCU students than transfer in the webinar after the changes were made. Not too sure what these changes will be like at the ABQ campus but I'll find out on next Tuesday.

Passed my HESI!
I didn't have to take the science portion. Only math and English

GCU Spring 2016 Hopefuls
Hi everyone, So I was just going to start a new thread because I am really trying to get into the Spring 2016 GCU nursing pre-licensure program. I've heard really great things about the program there and I feel like it may just be the school for me. Where I currently live, Albuquerque, options are kind of limited for school. You can either go to CNM which is a pain to get into or UNM which is also hard to get into. I considered going to Pima Medical Institute but after realizing they were not regionally accredited and had a bad experience with an advisor, I decided to look elsewhere. I have my first meeting with a GCU advisor on Tuesday and I am so excited. I feel like possibly things will start looking up :) Anyone else trying to get into the Spring 2016 program? I did read from previous threads that the program is changing drastically and would like to know what the changes might possibly be like for Spring semester. Thank you!

Good luck! I have an interview for a ER scribe job on Thursday. I'm actually wondering the same thing, if it's a doable job while in nursing school.

GCU Fall 2015 (ABQ)
no I'm not apply to CNM. I've heard it's insane trying to get into their program since all you have to do is meet with the advisor once your pre-reqs are done and they just approve you to register. I heard that the classes filled up in 13 seconds after registration open and I just don't want to deal with that. Can you give me some details for GCU's program?? I can't find too much on their website about Albuquerque's program.

Passed my HESI!
Best feeling ever. I was so nervous going into the exam room because they were directing people where to sit for 2nd test time takers and even 3rd test time takers. I finished the exam in 116 minutes. I scored a 81.5% overall, which I was a little disheartened by because I felt like I did better. But in my defense I only had a week to study. They threw me in the closest test date after taking my other entrance exams. My advisor said I did great on it though and if I do well on my interview, I should be getting in. During the test, my neighbor was using her cell phone to look up conversions for quarts. I was conflicted on if I should tell someone about the incident and I decided that I should. It's not fair to the rest of us if she does super well on the exam and gets in because of it. Anyways! I would just like to help relieve any nerves that you may have. The test is not as bad as they make it out to be and if you have a week or more to study for the exam, you'll do great!
