Hello! I’ve been checking this site for a while hoping someone would start a thread.. and thought why don’t I?
Is anyone else applying to Pima CC nursing program with 2/1 deadline? I’m also applying to ASU CEP program! Just waiting for my degree to post and I’ll be all set to apply! ?
It was because my credits are coming from Washington and the transcript I sent previously to ASU were inconsistent with the transcript I gave to Pima. They just wanted a confirmation about taking certain classes and to ask me to send ASU an updated transcript when I could. Even with the differences (they sent ASU my transcript from before I finished A&P 2 and ENGL 102 while Pima had my full transcript), they also just let me know I was still eligible as a candidate for the CEP program. No need to worry about ASU calling unless something weird comes up with your application!

I remember you said something about your application and being from Washington. Thanks for the clarification. Do you still live there? And are you okay with the virus?

I don’t mean that you have it I just mean with the chaos going on
Haha it's fine! I'm still in Washington and luckily I dont live too close to Seattle where more cases have been popping up. Things seem to be okay so far, at least at the hospital I work at. We've closed off visitors unless a patient is end of life or for labor and delivery. I'm on a surgical floor so I'm not expecting to be in contact with anyone that could be infected unless our only negative air flow room is needed.

Oh WOW! that’s so cool you work at a hospital already. Well I’m glad to know that you are safe and things aren’t too hectic! I work at Whole Foods and they just increased our hourly rates to try and get us to work more over time. Unfortunately I still have bronchitis and my chest hurts bad. Are you a surgical tech?
Gosh, Whole Foods/grocery stores might be more hectic than a hospital right now! I hope work has been lenient with hours since you have bronchitis. Even though I havent heard much about how Tucson is doing, I wouldn't want to be around people just as a precaution. I wish you a speedy recovery!
And not a surgic tech, but a CNA for now. It's more of a med-surg floor even though its designated Surgical Acute. I work nights and things are mostly business as usual, just plenty of Flu A patients coming and going. I just got my license reciprocity with AZ so when I move down I'll be applying to one of the hospitals depending on where I find a place.

Fortunately Whole Foods is a great company to work for and I can take as much time off as I need. Unfortunately I am out of PTO and am not contagious so I must go back to work. Thank you.
Being a CNA is a wonderful job. I know you’ll definitely get into the ASU CEP. I’m so anxious for us to be accepted. I am from Tucson so I could give you a few suggestions on where to move to/work at. UMC is the university hospital and the only trauma 1 center in Tucson. I volunteered at TMC and know a few people who have worked for UMC and TMC. They all prefer TMC. Pima west campus is located next to some undesirable areas of town. Where the campus is located is beautiful and safe but a half a mile East is not safe and not a good place to live. That’s how Tucson is, one area is great and right next to it is not. I’m sure Washington is the same.

Find out* they just sent an email saying someone at Pima might have the virus
