Pima CC 2020

Published

Hello! I’ve been checking this site for a while hoping someone would start a thread.. and thought why don’t I?

Is anyone else applying to Pima CC nursing program with 2/1 deadline? I’m also applying to ASU CEP program! Just waiting for my degree to post and I’ll be all set to apply! ?

I'm going to hold out for the admissions committee to be fast and efficient and that we'll hear back Monday ? The wait is just so anxiety inducing! I saw in the previous thread for Pima Nursing Fall '19 the first person to announce their acceptance was Wed 27th. As long as its a few days off of 3 weeks I don't think that's too bad.

Otherwise, 5 more days!

Interesting. So that means no everyone hears back the same day? I don’t think that’s fair. I do understand there are a lot of emails to go out but still. Maybe they send rejection emails first. Who knows

Me too!!! ??

So I just got some news from a coworker. She was speaking with a nursing instructor last week and was told that next semester it may be a requirement to have your CNA license in order to even apply. ??? so if I don't get in this semester I am royaly screwed...

Wow, didnt they just change the rubric and now they want to add something again? I dont think that's a bad idea so new nursing students get some experience of skills they'll need at least. How long are CNA training programs in AZ? In WA we can get it done in about a month and a half through private programs or within 3 months if done through a CC.

I was told 9 months but hopefully that is false. 1 month is much more practical for someone with a full time job.

Definitely look around just in case but with your score I feel you'll be fine ? 9 months for a CNA license sounds kind of ridiculous to get between this cycle and the next if a person doesn't have it too.
