Yay! Tammy I hope that classes start in the Spring and stay continuous without a break! I wanna be done as fast as I can can't wait to be in the field. As far as financial aid goes, I get VA benefits so hopefully I don't have to deal with that but I suppose I should find out!

Very cool for you! I found out that my work WILL help pay for nursing school. I don't have an FTE so the rumor was, due to budget cuts, those of us on call/per diem were S.O.L. BUT, the lady emailed me back saying this was not true. I am eligible for scholarship monies. I have to apply etc., but was relieved to know I'm still eligible. I still have to file FAFSA and for DOE loans. It's a bummer but I will do whatever I gotta do to survive and pay for nursing school. (That could SO be taken the wrong way, lol jk!)

Pierce College's Nursing Program has always continued on through summer quarter. I, like you, don't want a break during the summer months. I'm getting more and more excited. My good friend, Brandie, starts at TCC January 5, and I'm openly envious of her. Ha! But, everything happens for a reason, right? My husband was recently hurt pretty severely at his job and needs to have surgery on his shoulder in January 2015. He'll be off work a month or two followed by several months of physical therapy. Good thing I will be home and able to care for him during his recovery. :nurse: I just don't want our program to start Fall 2015.

Received an email today from our advisor. She says they still don't know when the program will start next year. Bummer! She also said she wasn't sure when they would be mailing out official letters of acceptance.

Oh I really hope that we start in the Spring! I'm getting antsy!!!! I hate being out of school. I feel worthless. I did just start a new job, very part time. Only every other weekend. I'm a newborn hearing screener at St.Pete's in Olympia. Love it so far and it is my specialty. :)

that sounds fun tpea! Im taking 2 online classes winter quarter: ENGL103 and medical terminology... can't wait to start nursing school. I wonder if they would send us the names of the people that got in... prob not

The school was closed last week for the holiday. :/ I borrowed Brandie's medical terminology book and am doing it on my own. I'm on chapter 4 and will start again after the New Years.

ETA: so i got an email back and was told they did hire a director, but still no start date. that's all the info i got :yawn:

Yes I did get through! Hired a director! That's all I have heard. Hopefully it starts in the spring. I am now taking Chem 131. Wish me luck :) hope we all find out something soon!

just talked to one of the nursing students at the Puyallup campus, and she said that she has been hearing from the professors the program won't start until fall earliest. Did you guys apply anywhere else?
