Pierce College FALL 2011

Hi! I am hoping there's someone out there applying to Pierce College. I recently found out about their program (ironically, I am from the San Fernando Valley and have been driving across counties for pre-reqs). I am scheduled to take the TEAS V on March 28th with them. Anyone else? I'd love to hear from you!

no worries, i did get accepted into an LVN program, so in the meantime thats what ill be doing. but i hear 67 on the waitlist is preeeetty darn close. as long as im one step closer im happy with that!

I will talk to ---- tomorrow and see what happened to my decision email. I am so anxious. I am also still waiting for LA County, but they are taking their sweet time

I wonder how many people made it to the selection pool...I got in. This is the 8th school I apply to after completing most of my pre-reqs two years ago. I already have a bachelor's so I applied to all kinds of programs- entry master's, second bachelor's, accelerated this. I even took a leave of absence from work to have time to study. It's fierce out there!

Clenggg, congrats on the LVN program. My nephew is half way done with his LVN. Have you heard of the online bridge program (BSN) with Indiana State University? It's approved by the CA Board of Registered Nursing, http://www.rn.ca.gov/schools/onlineprograms.shtml.

To everyone else, please don't be discouraged! I had already decided I didn't have the energy to apply for the upcoming fall if I didn't get in. I even booked a flight for Labor Day weekend yesterday expecting yet another rejection. Things can change from one day to another. Thank god for travel insurance! haha

I got my letter - I'm #88 on the waitlist. Since the program only accepts a total of 88 students total (44 each semester), my chances of getting in are pretty slim. At least I got into my second choice though...

Did you get in on your first attempt? This was my first time applying to Pierce, but I will accept to be on their waitlist for Spring too!

Thank you so much Cabion 666!! You are so very kind. Yes, it was my first attempt and I am still in shock. I worked really hard on my grades, pre-reqs and TEAS but I know that everyone else has too, so I can't believe I got chosen. I am super thankful.

I just got the email from the nursing program and got in Fall 2011 also!! It was my first attempt too so I feel super lucky. I've applied to one other school that has a lottery system and I've been waiting two years for that one. I say to everyone Apply Everywhere you can! Also try volunteering at a hospital or get your CNA. It has given me great hands on experience.

I got accepted into the program too! I start Fall 2011!! i am just waiting on that dang info packet! i emailed karla and she said they should be ready in 3 days (thursday) and she will be emailing us the times and days to pick it up.
