Piedmont College applicants 2014

Published

Hello! I would like to start a new topic for the applicants to the nursing school in Piedmont College, 2014. I want to share ideas, progress, etc. in our path to the nursing career. Have fun :)

I'm looking to apply for the Athens campus but idk if my stats are good enough. What is y'all's gpa and teas score?

My GPA is 3.38 (I took several business classes = 3 C's) and I made a 78.7 on the TEAS. There are some who have 4.0, and good TEAS scores. I am worried about my low GPA, and mediocre TEAS score.

But you got an interview for the Athens campus, right?

No, Demorest campus. But, I really feel that I am one of the lower average interviewees. Right now, I am at UNG, and most of my peers have higher GPA's, but around the same or lower TEAS scores.

Yeah I have a 3.43 average gpa and a 80 on the TEAS and I want to go to the Athens campus but that probably won't happen

Laura I think you have a good chance. It's not as difficult to get into nursing school as people make it seem. You'd be suprised how much personality and willingness to learn weighs in the process. Did you apply anywhere else?

Thanks I really appreciate that. Yeah I got accepted to the Mercer nursing school in Atlanta and I applied at GRU

I agree with kris. I think, depending on your interview, you have a good shot. Your PGA and TEAS are right in line. And, you have already been accepted to Mercer, so you know you can do it! Don't doubt yourself ;)

On another note, I had so hoped to get a letter by now. Either way, the anticipation is driving me crazy! Maybe this week. *fingers crossed*

I agree! Hopefully Saturday...I know the postman thinks I'm crazy!

Thanks guys hope we all get in!

I emailed them yesterday asking when acceptance/denial letters were going to be mailed out. She said they should go out 1st of next week. So we can give the mailman a break this week. Next week though - it's on!

Well, I'm going overseas for spring break, so I wont be here next week.

Something funny happened to me today. I went to pick up the mail, and I saw this small envelope from PC. I thought "this is to small to be an acceptance letter." I got nervous, and when I opened the letter it just a parking ticket of $25 :roflmao:
