Anyone taking physiology by itself? My school doesn't offer A&P together.

Do any of you have any good websites for phys? I like the see animation of the processes and concepts. I've searched allnurses and most of the sites that come up are no longer available.

Thanks!

study question: which of the following is not an homeostatic process?

a.speeding up the heart when excercising b.thinning of skin as you grow older c.making melanin when exposed to the sun d.eliminating excess h in urine e.digesting food

hmm... my guess would be B. Thinning of skin as you grow older.

My guess would be B also.

thanks... i was thinking that but I wasn't sure also.

Thanks for the link, Stinebean. I'm a visual learner so these simple animations help me a lot. I have my first exam Monday night. Crossing everything and spending the weekend studying!

Debi (and everyone else)-

I just re-discovered this site: http://physiwiki.wetpaint.com/ which may be helpful, but keep in mind that it's a wiki and double check the info you find. I did notice some really good looking illustrations and a few videos included in the sections within the chapter pages.

oh my goodness i am sorry! i started the thread and dissappeared (stupid computer!) anyway, i'm back and ready to study! :) so i was taking the practice quiz for phys and i ran across this question.

"as the filtrate moves up the ascending loop, its concentration __________, and its volume ___________. "

i chose decrease/increase, but the answer was decrease/stays the same. i'm kinda confused. if it's losing concentration wouldn't the volume increase? (or even decrease, i don't get how it would stay the same.)

spacer.gif thanks in advanced... i'm so lost!
