I will be graduating with my BSN in about a week and I really want to find a job in a physician's office in Los Angeles. How do I search for those jobs? When I go to careerbuilder, craigslist, etc. they are all hospital jobs. More specifically, I am looking for a job in OB or women's health.

Drop off your resume at offices you would like to work in. Be aware, though, that many Ob-Gyns don't hire RN's anymore, they hire MA's to save money. I'm sure there are some out there, though, that will hire an RN. Also, when doing a job search, use keywords like "back office" or "office nurse". Best wishes to you!

You might be more likely to find a job working in an office that is connected with a hospital. That was my experience in Washington State and was told it was due to maintaining Joint Commission standards.

I have a feeling most MD offices are hiring MAs over nurses. That's just my gut feeling, not necessarily factual.

I once got a job by going to the medical society office. They acted as free recruiters for local MD's.
