I have decided to create a new thread for the ones that are going to apply to the ASN program at Pasco-Hernando State College. Hopefully we can share information and give some emotional support to each other :)
I was reading in the previous thread about their score system that works based on TEAS score + GPA + County residency.
My Pre-req GPA is 3.7 and I am in county resident.
I haven't take my TEAS test yet, but will post the results as soon as I have it and hopefully I will have some chance!
Is there anyone in the same boat?

I was referring to the letter they sent me saying they received my application. That would be awesome if we found out we were accepted within a week!
So when do we know for sure? If we get accepted into nursing ....

It seems like a lot of schools are doing things slightly different this year making it hard to know exactly when we will receive responses. I know USF and HCC have also changed the deadline of applications this year, previous years their deadlines had been in March.

Yes, PHSC use to have a deadline of May 30th, but now it was changed today to May 8th. Also, LPN was changed to June this year at PHSC.

When I dropped my application off I was told the first to be notified are the ones who are accepted, and that should be the first week of June. If you are not accepted you will also be notified but not until after the acceptance letters go out.

I was going to apply to HCC, but they require AP2 as a requirement and I'm taking that this summer (after the cut off date). If I don't get into PHSC maybe in the spring I'll apply again to PHSC and also HCC.
Yes, they require more pre-reqs than PHSC, but you only need to PASS the TEAS test to apply.
I have been working on those pre-reqs for so long that I already completed an A.A and B.S!!! LOL
You are right about applying next semester for both, in case you don't get into this one.
Are you applying to the generic RN? what's your composite scores?

Hey I know it's early and y'all don't know if you're accepted yet but I've got every book plus some extra study guides, including pharm phlash pharmacology flash cards, to get you through the program for sale. I started the program at west campus in 2013 and graduated May, 2015. My wife used the books and just graduated last week. Some books are certainly used more than others and I'll give a detailed description with pictures for anyone interested. We're moving out of state at the end of June and want to get rid of them. So to be clear these most likely are not the current editions but they work just fine. Hit me up if you're interested. I'd like to get rid of them as a set....asking $200

Okay so here it goes.
3.79 pre-req GPA
88.7% on Teas
I live in Hernando
I applied to West Campus and East/Porter campus.
So (3.79 / 4 × 0.45 × 100) + (88.7 × 0.50) + 5
42.63 + 44.35 + 5 =
91.98 composite score

I've applied to the Generic RN track program as well. Here's my stats!
81.3% TEAS (advanced)
2.7 prereq GPA
I am a Hernando county resident.
My GPA is so low because of my psychology & micro apps grades from like, 9 years ago. I didn't try whatsoever and regretting that now obviously.
Someone ease my mind and tell me I have a chance! The stress is killing me. ):

What campus did you apply to? Maybe you can retake your pre-reqs? You seem really smart! Thats an awesome teas score!!! I'm sure you'll be fine. If not, you can always do LPN bridge.
So I finally got a confirmation letter for the East/ Porter Campus today. I applied to the West Campus as well so I'm guessing I should get another confirmation letter in the mail for that application soon. As others said, the letter stated they plan on sending out acceptance letters in the first week of June. So since my confirmation letter was dated May 22nd and I got it today 3 days later, I think it's safe to say acceptance letters should be received by around June 10th. That's assuming everything goes as planned, which is what we can all hope for. Once again, best of luck to everyone!
Edit** my dad is the one who opened the letter for me. He didn't tell me there was two letters. So I got my confirmation letter from the west campus as well.

I thought you could only apply to 2/3 campuses ? Also, the board meets today to make a decision. I thought letter will be received by the first of June, not sent. I'm not too sure. I'm hoping on next week! It took 2 days to me to get my confirmation letter. They mailed Monday morning & I got it yesterday afternoon. I only applied to West.
