I have seen there are a lot of nurses who availed, availing (like me), and contemplating to avail of Philman's packages . . . so i guess a new thread for us is just proper. Hope that everyone can share their experiences with the process to guide everyone. thank you.

thank God I found this blog. Thanks to all those who shared their experiences. well at first, being a nurse without 2yrs hospital experience, I was really eager to avail of their service. I heard we can take the CAP for EN(enrolled nurse) and do not need to worry about the expenses because they offer financial assistance. but when i got to read all your comments and warnings, that's the time I came to realize that It's not just worth it. maybe we'll just have to explore other options. well life's full of surprises, isn't it? :)

Hello! Sorry for the very late reply. Many agencies in Manila are accepting applicants for UK. As long as you have experience and ielts of 7 in all bands. Try looking at http://www.workabroad.com.ph. No placement fee is being collected for nurses bound for UK.

hello, i applied also in philman but i didnt pursue my applications. ive read this post and take this route.

i applied in asc drake and got hired by uk employes

no placement fee. thank you

Hello..is this thread still alive?:) Im planning to avail of their NZ package since I will directly undergo the CAP course and the expenses will be much cheaper than in Aus. Regarding their financing assistant (AG financing) can anyone answer me if they are asking for collaterals before they approve your loan? and also the interest rate? Is it really double?has anyone already tried the NZ Cap course? I think it is much easier to obtain a job there rather than in aus.can anyone answer my querries? pls email me at [email protected] Thankyou!

PHILMAN has a case in the PHILIPPINES SUPREME COURT.Please do not avail Philman's services. Philman lie to their nurses- ask them to pay for 2 million pesos when they got a job in Australia. Illegal interest in their financing scheme with SUNPRIME FINANCING

It is difficult to find job sponsorships as my IRON classmate have more than 6 years hospital experience. Many of my Philman IRON classmates who have 7 and 10 years experience still do not have jobs. There are Philman nurses who have went back to the Philippines without work. Some PHILMAN nurses have been waiting after 1 year of their IRON PROGRAMME but still no work. So the interest in their loan is piling up. 3.8% per month interest. I pity the Philman nurses here and i feel sad for the Filipino nurses in the Philippines attending orientation and deceived by Philman.

hi just read your post and now im worried, i have already availed their services but was contemplating about availing the financing service. i already been accepted to an IRON Program but yet to pay enrolment fees, im okay with not using their financing services and find own ways to pay, but i must admit that the posts here are very discouraging, im really worried of not finding a job there in australia. :(

Hi grace88star,

These posts do not mean to discourage you but just to tell you the reality. Writing here will not benefit me at all. If you go to Australia, you can meet more nurses of philman and from other countries who are in the same situation but prefer not to talk about it here. If you are up for the risks, it is your choice.

The affiliated hospitals of Philman here in Australia do not have vacancy as of the moment. If they have staff resignations, vacation leave, a job vacancy may be available. After that, Philman nurses who already have Australian nursing licenses including Australian RN citizens will compete for the spot. Philman does not assure you of a job contract here in Australia. You will be the one to undergo the application process, interviews, exams, screening, etc. So if the employer will not accept the nurses, it is not Philman's problem anymore. You have to find an employer who will accept you.

I also had a Filipino nurse friend, he was really excellent because he is a clinical instructor and reviewer for 8 years. He got his nursing license 3 months ago, he still does not have a job after many applications. I also believe he is really good. I also want to stress that the employer will only sponsor overseas nurses if they cannot find a Australian Permanent Resident or a citizen who can do the job. Your employer has to prove that they do not have any other RN applicants aside from overseas nurses- That is the requirement in the Department of Immigration before they can give u you a visa with working rights. In the recent years, thousands Australians citizens graduated in BSN because some were government-funded education.

On the positive note, some philman nurses did find nursing jobs only if you are very excellent at what you do. They compete with the best nurses from other countries like USA, KSA, NZ, SINGAPORE, INDIA , etc. If you are excellent and at the top of your field, I recommend you can go for it.

It was easier for nurses who went here in the years 2010 and 2011 because of lack of competition. Some have even 2 years of volunteer experience yet were hired. Since Australia have marketed the nursing industry as the best in the world, the trends have changed now because thousands of RNs all over the world wants to work in Australia. RNs here compete with head nurses, supervisors, lecturers who have 5 years, 15 years..very impressive resume

You can ask Philman why they the AG financing company change its name to sunprime financing, they will not tell you the real reason.

Finding a nursing job is difficult but not impossible. I just wish Philman nurses will be blessed despite this fact. I still do hope they find a job. We are all nurses taking care of each other.
