Saw on Youtube that a girl started a community amongst her cohort using this forum so I thought I’d try the same. I’ve submitted my application for PSON ABSN Summer 2022 today, although the final date to submit for a Summer start is in February of 2022. Now I play the waiting game.
and @Aljoe I was actually worried because all my science grades are B's but then again they do look at everything holistically as mentioned by biancarod! I don't really have health care experience but I'm employed as an aide to my grandmother who is bedridden. Plus I think my essay really helped and my recommendations! Also finished my undergrad with a 3.8 and my prereq GPA is about a 3.4. I hope this helps and I hope you receive an acceptance soon!
I wanted to give you an update. I was called for an interview . I wish I knew what to expect but I will do my best to be interview ready
I got anxious about your interview so I made an account to speak with you! I got my acceptance today for Summer 2022. No interview for me.
I remember couple months back I was reading a forum on all nurses. It was for fall 2020. I saved the questions that this particular person got asked for this program thinking I might need it later. I can't find the post again so I am just going to copy paste her response.
"1. What was an obstacle that you had to overcome and how did you complete it?
2. What made you want to become a nurse?
3. What is a problem that you needed to resolve in your previous jobs?
4.Are you able to handle blood and guts well, do you think that you would be able to handle it throughout the day?
5. If you were interviewing for a nursing position and it was between you and another applicant why should they choose you?
It was about 20 minutes long and given through zoom, there were 3 interviewers"

1. Why do you want to become a nurse ?
2. How do you handle criticism?
3. Tell us about a moment you experienced a stressful situation/ challenge and how did you overcome it ?
4. What happened to your grades , why did you receive low grades in undergrad?
There were four people that interviewed me. I'm so glad I will be counted in this Summer ?

@Bubbi. Congrats! How long did it take between having your app verified by NursingCAS and receiving your acceptance?
Does anyone know the full amount of tuition for PSON's program?
My application was verified Mid November so it took two months. They were waiting on me to send them updated prereq grades that I took in the fall semester and it was also holiday season so keep that in mind.
