Phillips Beth Israel Applicants 2014

Hello all prospective nurses!

I am curious to know if there is anyone who has applied to Beth Israel for the upcoming Fall 2014 start date. I delivered my completed application on Friday the 28th and so I guess now all I do is wait and see. From past posts I know people sometimes wait until June to know if they are accepted or not. Hopefully we can get a good thread going here and can compare nln scores and share any information that we hear from the school. I hope to talk to some people that are in the same boat as me soon!

Hey there BklynEMT! I think it went really good! Its hard to say but I left feeling positive so I think thats a good sign.

So, a little about it.

Showed up around 4:30 (interview time was 5). Waited in the waiting room type area on the 4th floor while others slowly showed up (I think in total we were 9 students). Around 5 o'clock the Asst. Dean arrives with three alumni, split us into groups of three and assigned us an alumni who was to be out interviewer. My interviewer started by asking us a little about ourself (where we were from, what we do for a living, etc.). He then asked each of us about 6 questions and wrote down our response. I cant remember what all of them were as it is a blur but he asked "why nursing, why here, why now" and "what is an example of a behavior of a nurse." Then we chatted for a while and he told us about his success as a Beth Israel alumni. We were told the committee meets on April 7th and we should know the outcome within in 48 hours of that.

As far as dress goes, out interviewer wore a suit so I would recommend trying to match that and dress nicely. I wore a skirt, button up shirt and a suit jacket and felt comfortable and confident.

My interviewer didn't really address our essays or test scores and seemed to be a middle man for relaying out answers to the questions to the admissions committee. In total the process was about an hour and a half.

Im surprised there are only three ppl on this thread! But ill be the fourth! Got an email yesterday and my interview is for fri the 28th at 3!!!
