to any one who can give me idea.im an rn here in the philiipines for almost 2 years this coming august. i passed my nclex but i made a change of plan so not to us anymore but to australia. im planning to apply at queensland or south australia nursing board but i have fears that i will be advised for a bridging course. can anyone suggest which among the states of oz would probably grant me a license without a bridging course...
thank you miss suzzanne. Actually i asked an agency here and the agency required me to study OET there for them to file my student visa. I told them that taking IELTS will be ok but they still recommend me to get OET.
Will there be any advantage if I get the OET there instead of taking IELTS here? and once I pass my IELTS (if ever im going to take it here), then can I proceed to bridging course in Aussie while on student visa? Much thanks again.
Suggest that you speak with another agency before you do anything at all. Not all of them give out correct information or check directly with the licensing board there for the real information. You should always go to the source and not rely on what an agency is telling you, many times it is not correct from past history.
Not one advantage of taking that English exam as it is not accepted as being the same as the IELTS, but only a basic exam. Just more money for you to spend. And is this agency also offering a class for the OET?

I am sure IELTS is accepted and was last time I looked at Australia immigration. Have you tried searching for Australia and IELTS in google?
