i'm new here, i live in wisconsin and for those who live here who came from philippines and work as nurse i just wanna ask you all if there's a possibility for me to take Nclex exam? I don't have Philippine license as i didn't take it, but i wanna pursue my career as nurse here in wisconsin but i don't know how and where to start? If someone could help me and give me advice as to what to do. I would be grateful.

What is CES?
Credential evaluation service one of the services offered by CGFNS. It collects and evaluates your education and professional credentials then forwards the report to the BoN including what US educational level, if any, your education is equivalent to (diploma, ASN, BSN) or if you are lacking theoretical or clinical coursework.
Certification requires you to take the CGFNS exam and subsequently pass the NCLEX
CVS is credential verification service only used by NY BoN. CGFNS spends 6+ months collecting your educational and professional credentials then forwards a summation report to NYBoN who determines a candidates eligibility for a nursing license and NCLEX authorization.

For Wisconsin it's CGFNS Certification, not CGFNS CES. I'm here in Arizona and it's CES for us. I'm not familiar with cgfns certification but what my friend said she processed her school documents/prc license before taking the cgfns exam. So just apply for cgfns certification :)

Hi :) I'm a foreign nurse from Philippines and didn't process my NCLEX exam yet, just arrived here in the US couple of weeks ago. Although, I'm not from Wisconsin, I would like to help you, accordingly you will need to take the CGFNS certification, they don't require CES reports for RN applications, only with LPN applications. Luckily, you don't need to take the TOEFL since they only require it for LPN applications. But after you comply the initial requirements, you're bound to take the NCLEX RN once you're application is approved. For the whole process (to do it exactly and correctly), search the Wisconsin Board of Nursing and all your questions will be addressed. God bless! - filipina from Washington

Thanks. I thought foreign nurses applicants for Wisconsin RN requires english exam too. Now I am getting more confused. Ive read that what u mentioned that only LPNs need an english exam. But whenever I try to read the CGFNS requirements for foreign nurses applicants, you'll see that english exam is also required for CP. this is making me confused.
For CGFNS probably yes, because they're two different organizations/ agencies, CGFNS will have its own set of requirements for the specific services you need from them, and will be different from BON of Wisconsin. But for Wisconsin BON, they don't require it, like I said, they're different from each other. I'm sorry if I got you confused on this one, because I clearly doesn't know the requirements of taking the CGFNS Certification, here in Washington, they only require the CES from CGFNS and it doesn't require your TOEFL or IELTS scores for that, but BON of Washington have their own rules and they do require for nurses trained outside US to take the TOEFL or IELTS.
