Hi! Is PGH open for basic skills training for 2010? Thank you for the replies!!! God bless you!

Hi guys! Any updates for those who had their panel interview last August 2010 when will be their scheduled final interview for a staff nurse post? I passed the panel interview last September 2010 and the last time I called, I was advised that August 2010 passers are set for their final interview. Please share what you know. Thanks!

Any updates for those who passed their panel interview last August 2010? Are you already scheduled for your final interview? This will be for a staff nurse post not under APCN.

Godbless.. c=

GUYS!!! I need help...I am about to take the examination for the staff nurse position in PGH....and I was hoping if you could share some pointers and how the exam was like....people there are too panicky and saying that the exam is hard....and my confidence just came down the pipes when i heard their stories....huhuhu...HELP!!

hi bleuler, ill be having my exam this june for the staff nurse position, can i ask what is the scope of the exam...your reply is much appreciated...thanks very much

i was just wondering why the exam costs 200php? is it paper pencil or computer? if its just on paper, photocopying wont cost 200 isnt it?

hi johen026 and donnasoriano06.. as far as i can remember, the exam is composed of 4 types of tests.. first part is identification.. they will ask you to enumerate the normal values of the vital signs and other stuffs.. the 2nd part is composed of multiple choice questions mainly focusing on MS.. the 3rd part is drug computation part.. and the last part is enumeration.. they will ask you to enumerate the step by step procedures of suctioning and skin test i think.. the exam is time pressure.. you will only be given 50 minutes to answer all the questions.. from what i have heard, you should only commit less than 10 mistakes for you to pass.. im just not sure if it is true.. also, to give you an idea, the usual passing rate is less than 20%.. im not scaring you guys but usually, there are only 9 to 15 examinees who can pass this exam out of 50 examinees.. the exam really needs critical thinking and proper time management because most examinees weren't able to finish the exams due to its limited time.. Godbless you both and i hope that this reply somehow gave you an idea about the exam in PGH.. c=

Hi everyone! I also took the APCN exam last May 30 and I am very anxious right now as to what will be the result. What if I did not pass the exam? Does that mean that I am no longer qualified to continue on with the training? Or the exam is just a way for the nursing training office to assess our knowledge? If that is so, will all of us, who took the exam, have the guarantee of carrying on with the training EVEN if we do not pass the test? Anyone enlighten me please. I just could not overcome the thought of failing the exam as I am not so sure of my answers to some of the questions.

I hope someone can help.

hi bleuler! did you had your final interview? how long does it take you to wait for that? can you give me tips for final interview? i had my panel last april but still got no calls regarding final interview. wish you can help me. thanks!

my friend passed his requirements last feb and scheduled for an exam this july.. he said its for volunteer in PGH without fee.. Is it true that they are man pooling and that when you pass their exam, there will be no fee collected? my friend said that this program (though he doesnt know what its called) is different from the one where you'll pay 10000 pesos because the latter is a training while the first is for volunteer.. can anyone clear this? thanks guys..

I just want to ask what are the most common questions that they ask during the panel interview?

my friend is already having her apcn training at PGH. I am happy for her because i know she deserves the spot. but at the same time I really envy her. i heard from her that PGH will increase the fee for the next batch. too bad. :(
