PHCC spring 2012 RN acceptance letters?

Published

:yeah:Has anyone received an acceptance letter for the RN program for PHCC Spring 2012????

Doesn't PHCC offer a CPR/ BLS class? I thought they did?

I am also looking for a CPR/BLS class as I was admitted into the LPN program but there is not much talk over there on their discussion. So, I hope you all don't mind me following your discussion and adding my two cents in every once in awhile.

Millsypoo - This is what I found on the PHCC website:

BLS for Healthcare Providers
– Call for scheduled dates and times.

Includes instruction in one rescuer CPR, management of foreign body airway obstruction, two rescuer CPR, use of barrier devices, the use of an automated external defibrillator, and use of the bag mask resuscitator. $59.30

I just signed up for the West campus NCH0050. It's tonight and Weds night. The lady at student services said it was the right CPR class for nursing students. I hope so!

I am sure that it is the right class... you can always double check when you get there. That is great you got in so quickly.

I'm glad I called today. I wasn't going to because I have a lot of homework to do! At least I'll get this CPR class out of the way, and checked off my "list" :-)

What classes are you currently taking?

This semester: Intermediate Alg and Public Speaking, two of my least favorite classes :-( I struggle with Math classes, and they are the only things I have left to get my AA.

I got my AA from PHCC last December, one of my final classes was Public speaking also... I took it online. I am currently taking an online course through the American Military University, and I am nervous because my RN classes and this one will overlap by about 3 weeks.

Oh that SUCKS. I'm so sorry. You will make it! Just commit yourself to doing nothing but class work those three weeks! I know you can do it! :-)

There is no way on this planet I would want to be doing Algebra and RN courses at the same time. YUCK.

Just a quick note....got all immunizations, titer, physical and flu shot from a walkin clinic. Ask the walkin if they have a phcc agreement. The one i went to was med express on bruce b downs. The whole thing cost 259 bc they had special for health occup students at phcc. They did it all right there in 15 min. :)

I hear you... I f you decide to go further than your ASN, I believe I heard that the RN program is off over the summer months, you can take any remaining courses.

I finished everything I needed for USF ( chemistry, Statistics, college algebra, etc...) I am in Spanish 1 now and hope to do Spanish 2 over the summer? If that is indeed true.
