PHCC Fall 2014 hopefuls!

Published

I want to meet some of you! I'm just getting ready to take my last 3 finals, have been studying for the TEAS for months now, and will be able to apply for next fall's nursing program (YAYAY!) I'd love to hear from some potential future classmates, how you are doing/ did with pre-reqs/ TEAS, and share the excitement upon acceptances!

MamaBerry do you own those shoes? I'll have to try them on at Macy's. Wonder if they're comfy?

so pretty sure its only semester by semester? lol cause two in our household will be going to nursing school this year. cant imagine having to pay it all right up front.

Does anyone know of the potential book list? I have friends who have previously gone to PHSC and they told me whatever i do DO NOT BUY THE BOOKS FROM THE BOOKSTORE. They told me they will rip you off x2. They told me to buy the books online, you get the same ones and much much cheaper! I want tot get as much as a head start as i can, because books can sometimes take as long as two weeks to get in.

I don't. I'm picky on shoes so i will try them at Macy's. if they will price match I'll get them there, otherwise I'm a Prime member so I'll order on Amazon. I'll let you know!

I plan on emailing and faxing my acceptance letter tomorrow morning. I'm anxious to see the "packet" and everything that goes with it. I dug up some old immunization records I had and need to look into getting a physical. I want a one stop shop type of place. I know the old threads here had some good info. Whats everyone elses plan of action?

Big week here! I hope those acceptance letters start rolling in fast for the rest of you in limbo. Positive vibes all around - good luck all!

I *have* to try shoes on first. With that being said - I really want to try on Danskos since there's such a big hype about them.

Do we have to wear scrubs to lecture or only in clinical?

At Rasmussen they were required in class and at clinicals.

Keep in mind they are leather, may be uncomfy at first but they will mold into your feet.

Do you think someone with a 3.4 and teas of 72 could get into the RN or does that seem more like LPN? I appreciate any insight!

Does anyone have a head count on how many accepted into the RN program already? I put in my application at West Campus, but they didnt have us specifiy what campus, they told me their was only one application for ALL RN. I live closer to brooksville but do they even have an RN program? If they do not, I want to be in the RN program at West. How do they decide that?
