PHCC Fall 2014 hopefuls!

Published

I want to meet some of you! I'm just getting ready to take my last 3 finals, have been studying for the TEAS for months now, and will be able to apply for next fall's nursing program (YAYAY!) I'd love to hear from some potential future classmates, how you are doing/ did with pre-reqs/ TEAS, and share the excitement upon acceptances!

No letter.

as expected :( soon.... But, you're in, no worries ;)

hopefully they have all of the number of packets ready and just have to generate the individual acceptance letters and slap an address on and mail those bad boys out today!

They actually just send out an acceptance letter for you, and you get the packets after accepting seat. So, even less work to do ;)

I don't understand why they have to keep changing their story. This anxiety is killing me -_-

Welcome to you! :-) And I figure it's just because none of them genuinely know...as with all admissions staff you will encounter at PHSC! You will never get the same answer twice, that's for sure! Lol

Just wondering...once you're in the program at west campus, say you have to move to Wesley Chapel in the middle of the program, will they let you switch the campus you're at? We might have to move for the fiance's job. It's not a horrible drive if I had to move but less driving means more studying :)

I have heard that they do allow it and that makes sense because people drop/fail out even just within the first semester (or so I've been told!), which would leave open spots. Are you going to join me at Porter!?!?! That would be awesome! :-)

Stupid financial aid letter gave me unnecessary palpitations today.

oh i thought that they sent out the whole packet? thats what they did last time i thought?

I think some people said they received letters then packets separately, and others said they received only a thick packet. So, I'm not really sure what to expect. I wonder if it depends on how many programs you applied for?

I think it is crazy that it is taking this long... I mean seriously, you do some data entry and make a list.

It really does not seem like it should be that complicated.

I think I am just agitated because while I am waiting for my letter from PHSC, I am moving forward with my plans to attend Rasmussen if I do not get in. I have a financial aid meeting with them next Monday so I was kind of hoping to hear something before I did that.

Just what does the selection committee do? Are there that many ties that they need to manually choose between?

They sit around reading potential students posts online and decide who wants it most
