hi i am new here to allnurses and i am considering trying to get into southeastern community college in whiteville nc. anyway one of the requirements are that you take pharmocology or nursing 117 has anyone taking a course like this that requires you to take pharmocology before entrence? this class is supposed to determine wheather you enter the program or not . i also heard that in labs you learn how to do ivs etc.

Mine had it as a requirement before ranking into the program (pharmacology). I used to be part of the first semester but to cut down on the pool of applicants they added it in with prereqs. Good luck!!

Pharm is either required for admission or completion upon graduation. I imagine it would be a hard class without being in the program, but, sometimes it has to be done as a weed out. Look at to other posts for Pharm...it can be difficult.

I am currently taking pharmacology as one of the prerequisites to enter the program. I'm applying for spring 2013 and can't wait to get this class over with.
hi everyone thanks for responding. thats what i was thinking too. im in micro now and i find it easy . and i heard that pharm was a little harder than micro. hey only require you to have 168,169, math 60,70 and psy 241 . i have all that plus more what do you learn in the class.

I have signed up for the spring semester and have decided to take A&PII, Pharmacology, Pre-Calc Algebra, and Philosophy (into to ethics).
