Can anyone give me tips on studying pharmacology pleasssse. It is getting me down. I've subscribed to the NCSBN study online and the pharma section is so long and boring, I'm about ready to pull my hair out! My brain is fried. Is it necessary to learn dosages and everything in detail?
How do those of you who've taken the NCLEX feel about that?
Thanks for all the help, this site is great.

My view on pharm is this: too much to learn, so limit to the basics. Go through pharm text, learn basics of each drug classification and specifics of one major example drug for each. If possible, after that, learn the list of suffixes. Any more time for pharm, perhaps add another drug. That should be sufficient for the test, because you have no idea which drug(s) they may or may not ask about. You can't learn it all.
