Pharmacology for Nursing Care by Richard A. Lehne (publisher is Saunders/elsevier)---trust me on this one!! This book is very well written with a bit of humor thrown in with short chapters, but also quite informative.
How does lehne's book compare to this book (rang) here ?

I don't know how Lehne's book compares to any other pharmacology book, but it is THE book in my opinion. It will put down for you not just the drug, but the pathophysiology behind why and how the drug works the way it does. You can not help learning from it.

Although I'm Australian, and many of our drugs not only have different trade names but also generic names, there is one American book that I find really useful. It was not part of my curriculum but nevertheless it is excellent.
