The program is competitive. I just took Nur 101 this past semester it was challenging but a good class. I applied after I finished all of my pre reqs for the program. I start this fall for the RN program. The nursing adivsor said that they take general ed courses into account when there are more students applying then there are spots. Their are only 60 spots. Those who have finished general ed gives them a better chance at success in the program. The cut off gpa was a 3.11. If you need anymore info just PM me and I'll be happy to help.
Thanks for your reply .I definitely want to know more .How was Nur 101 ? I will be taking it aug 2009 and any advice for the class ,references , helpful links , name of textbook . Did you get accepted on your first petition into the nursing program ? I will like updates on your classes since I am hopefully getting admission come spring . Thanks :heartbeat

Nur 101 was a good class it helps you to start thinking critically, gives you the history of nursing etc.. One of the books you need is Dosage Calculations if your not good with math I suggest you use the book. You will have a math test in the class. There is another book I can't remember the title but when I do I'll post it. I was blessed and I got in one my first petition for the fall of this year. I will try to give you updates. If you have anymore questions just post them and I'll get back to you.
