Petitioning for DCCC 2014 Nursing Program

Published

Peace Everyone! I am currently a Pre-Nursing student at Delaware County Community College. I take my TEAS test July 30. I've been studying on and off since last month. I am trying not to be nervous about it. I'm beyond determined to get in! Is there anyone else who has taken the TEAS yet? what scores are considered good enough to get in?? My GPA is fine, and I will be complete all my pre reqs by next Spring. What scores would be considered TEAS test "Waiting List" scores?

Got my acceptance letter today for Marple!

I still didn't get anything! :( was it just a letter or a packet of info? Do you have to sign for it ?

Congrats to all that got in so far!!

I got my acceptance letter for Marple Campus!!!! Evening/Weekend!! So excited and relieved :) Congrats to everyone!!!

To anyone who has been accepted on the letter what does it mean by "all accepted nursing students must complete all necessary remediation coursework before the beginning of NUS110" .. Just want to make sure i am not missing something. I took anatomy I and II etc. But didnt think there was any prereqs

I believe the only requirement is the 1 credit math for nurses. You can either take that before 110 or during, but it has to be completed before moving onto 111. By the way I just received my acceptance letter tonight for the evening/weekend marple program. I am so excited!!! I also know at the previous nursing info sessions Nancy suggested getting all of your non-nursing courses finished but this was not required. It just makes it easier for you while doing all the nursing courses/clinical. The only thing I have not done is the math for nurses and abnormal psych. Congrats on your acceptance :)

You have to have general English, general math, general psych, childhood development, abnormal psych, and intro to sociology on top of A&P I and II. If you look at the 2013 nursing info packet it will tell you exactly the course numbers.

Math for nurses is a requirement but not a requisite to get into the program. They really prefer you have them done, but if you have A&P done that's the largest hurdle.

Okayyy thank you!!!!!! I think I am going to sign up for the NUS102 class (math for nurses) and abnormal psych for the spring semester! There was one other general education class I needed but cant think of it off top my head. Thank you for the responses!
