Petitioning for DCCC 2014 Nursing Program

Published

Peace Everyone! I am currently a Pre-Nursing student at Delaware County Community College. I take my TEAS test July 30. I've been studying on and off since last month. I am trying not to be nervous about it. I'm beyond determined to get in! Is there anyone else who has taken the TEAS yet? what scores are considered good enough to get in?? My GPA is fine, and I will be complete all my pre reqs by next Spring. What scores would be considered TEAS test "Waiting List" scores?

the joint agreement between drexel and dccc is a pretty sweet deal! For incoming nursing students, you'll be able to dual enroll, and take both the dccc nursing courses at the same time as taking the drexel courses throughout your program at dccc. After graduation, you'll have about another year of drexel classes to get your bsn. There's a drexel tuition discount (currently 40% off their undergrad rates) and you maintain that discount as long as you take one drexel course per calendar year. For anyone who might already have a bachelor's in another subject and wants to bridge directly to the MSN (which is what I am doing) the discount is 25% off the graduate drexel tuition.

Guys! I am officially in the evening/weekend program for Chester County!! I forget who else was accepted into this session. Please let me know!!

So rather than getting a BSN (I have a BA and an MA in humanities already) you can skip directly to a Masters in Nursing??? That sounds amazing!!!

I think nancy said letters for it go out in March.. It's then when we will know what section (1,2,3) we are in too.

As for Drexel, if you wait until after DCCC program, how long would it take to get your BSN? And is it all

Online? Thanks for the info!

That would depend on how many of the general ed. courses you have before starting the program and if you choose to go full or part time. Drexel allows you to take all your general ed and elective courses at dccc even after starting at Drexel, which is much cheaper. Then there are about 12 nursing courses you have to complete at Drexel either online or hybrid courses that will be at dccc campus.

Thanks for getting back to me. Do you know if there is a link or site specifically to this program to view the classes needed?

Yeah that would be awesome to know. I'm very interested in this.

@airballs as long as your gap is 2.5 and you pass the teas and there is a seat open, you will be accepted. Averages vary
