Currently an OR circulator and interested in going into the reserves. I have only worked in the OR, not Preop or PACU. Would i be expected to float outside of the OR? Thanks

For the most part no. Periop nurses are 66E and PACU are 66H, 66S. The only time you would go to PACU, ICU, & ER is if you are in a Forward Surgical Team (FST) and are expected to work in all areas. From what is out there 66E's will not be with FST in the future

Agreed. The AF calls them OR nurses and they pretty much do not leave the operating room. The Air Force uses un-designated 'clinical nurses' (46Ns), basically med-surg nurses, to work the pre-op clinic, APU, and PACU.
