So I just called EC and was told the next date for the FCCA is june 1-10---- UGH!! Why so far!!?? Also she said I can register for cpne now. Is that a good idea? Register and just put a farther date? Confused!! HELP!!

I would register for the cpne now so you can upload all your documents and have it all done and ready. It only takes a day to do the FCCA so just register for the cpne and start studying now. I know that study guide is overwhelming but honestly it is a treasure trove of information. I never read it cover to cover, but if you have the time I would suggest breaking it down into sections and reading it section by section. They really give you everything you need to pass in that study guide. Good luck!

Did you do a workshop anywhere?

I did Sheri Taylor's workshop in Atlanta and then continued with her online workshop. If I had to do it all over again I would have just done the online workshop because it is THAT good. Her careplanning webinars and videos are amazing. By the time I went to my cpne, I could bang out a care plan in around 5 minutes or so that did not need to be revised. Let me know if you need any help with anything. Good luck.

I read today on the CPNE page at EC that there is a CPNE study guide that gets sent. Wouldn't that be great if we didn't have to pay that thing off? Is there still a spot to down load the 540 pg one?

They send you a cd that is exactly the same as the one you can download online. I printed mine at work to save money.

MissingmyErica gave accurate information. It's just the CD of the study guide and has the same content that is available in the one you are able to download from online.

I put down the date I would be ready and thats the exact date that I got. Where are you testing? I tested in York, PA. because I live only 40 minutes away. I don't know what the wait times are in other areas but from what I've heard from other people you'll test when you want to test.

I live in Louisiana but due to the supposed long waits in the south, I am willing to go as far as NY. Is one site better than another??
