I am starting this thread to find anyone who is starting the Nursing program at Pensacola State college January 2012. I thought it would be a great way to share information and to meet potential class mates. I look forward to hearing from you!
Hi Im looking into the nursing program at pensacola state college. I just became pre-nursing and I have no idea what I need to do to get into nursing school please help me or give me some pointers and how to start.
I would go in and talk with Mrs. Lewis at the Warrington campus. She is the Health Admissions Specialist and would be able to fully guide you. Basically you take all your pre-reqs/HESI and get in line. It's advised to take the co-reqs also before beginning the program. They have changed along the way as far as they now require some co-reqs as pre-reqs since I started so I don't want to give you incorrect information. Good luck on your decision! :)
Due to financial aid issues I delayed my entry until January, 2012. We will receive letters in about a month. Nikekayla is you are still reading this and would like information let me know. If you are starting pre-reqs from ground zero I can tell you will probably not go in January, 2012. The wait time is usually a year from completing all pre-reqs and there is a long list ahead of you. The only co-req is now Nutrition. Everything else has been moved to pre-reqs. Not sure if the information on the website packet reflects this or not.
NickieW....We'll get letters in about a month.
Are you referring to the basic med. terminology? If so, you can probably get book from book store or on-line. I used a lot of on-line resourses when I took the class. Or this is a pretty good site for the nursing -prefixex & Suffixes
