Pens

I prefer the pen with the 4 colors but anything will do. I dont like to buy expensive pens as they disappear or get lost faster than anything. I swear a patients bed swallowed a pen last shift. I just set it down for a second and it was gone. Luckily I had like 5 others. :roll

I use the Bic one with the four colors as well. This way I can change off to red if I need to make a note on my assessment sheets...whatever. Only problem is the black runs out first and that's the one I use most often.

Fat, writes smoothly, medium point. Even drug rep pens will do.

I love Pilot retractables. They have a nice fat barrel with a grip, and they don't leak like stick pens do. My penmanship looks so nice when I write with one of these.

I can't stand a pen that leaks or smudges when I write.

Love the Dr. Grip. Black med point; had about three years now. I prefer it as I have a tendency to grip the pen tight while I write and since the barrel has a wider circumference (sp?) my finger doesn't cramp/ache after writing all those notes.

Me too. Pilot retractable G2 gel ink. The pen just glides over the paper making for quicker charting!

Pilot retractable med. point, only problem I have is, I have to use red ink, around here the only place to buy is wally world, you have to buy a whole pack of colors to get one red. I have ordered online from offfice depot/office max, but when I checked last week and was going to reorder, the shipping was going to cost almost as much as a box of pens!!! Any ideas?

That's my favorite kind!!! I'm guilty of swiping a pen every time I go to the doctor's office. I've been known to swap pens with waitstaff (if they are using an obvious promo pen).

The pilot retractable fine point. The retractable pens are the only practical styles. This pen has a nice fine point, darker black ink than most retractables and does not smear, blob, or skip. I have found them only at Walmart.

I like the Zebra's with the little skinny point. I have a long name so I need to maximize my signing space :)

A pen is something I have a hard time holding on to. I buy inexpensive gel gliders, clickers, only because I go through lots of them.

Seems like I have a half-dozen in my pocket, or none at all!
