Penn Nurse Externship 2017

Hello All,

I've noticed that there is no conversation about the Penn Nurse Externship Program that begins this summer so I thought I would create this as an area to talk about the application/hiring process! I applied to the Penn Student Nurse Externship Program in January and just heard back last week about an online interview (which I completed!). Im currently waiting to hear back about an in-person interview!

Did anyone else apply, if so when did you hear back from Penn and were you notified of an In-Person Interview?!

I also applied in January, but I haven't heard anything :( my application status just says "considering".

I just got an email from them the other day that they are delayed because they're trying to match the right people with the right units! there's still hope! but its just so nerve wracking :(

Hey Jenga3! I just had an online interview it didnt specify what unit I was applying for but they did ask which are my two two areas of interest and I said ED and Critical Care! D

Did you have an in-person interview yet?! If so, when did they contact you?! Im really nervous because HUP is my dream hospital!

I got an email on Friday from a recruiter saying they're just trying to match people. And I believe I said my top 3 were the emergency department, women's health, and med-surg?

yeah I got that email too! Hopefully they'll get back to us soon! The waiting game is the ultimate struggle! And that's awesome!

ugh same í ½í¸­í ½í¸­ hoping that we'll hear back by Friday or maybe they'll give us another update ! I hope it works out for the both of us!
