  1. Hello! I was just wondering if anyone has ever applied to the MICU critical care gateway at Penn Medicine and their experiences with the application process as well as the actual program itself! HUP is my dream hospital and I would love to work in critical care though I know its difficult for new grads to get into the critical care settings! I would love to hear anyone's experience with the critical care gateway program at penn medicine or any information regarding it because their website isn't very clear in what the program entitles or start dates!
  2. oh okay! i ended up emailing the contact person for my unit and she said shes sending out official offers next week so there is still hope lol! thank you for letting me know! :)
  3. when did they call you today?! sorry to be so anal im just nervous!
  4. ugh I am so sorry to hear that but thats good to hear that they liked you enough to email them when you graduate! i havent gotten contacted yet and Im wondering if I should call them
  5. Hey Emily34812,CNA! I was wondering if you got notified about the position on your unit?! It's going to be two weeks from my interview this Friday and I'm nervous because I haven't gotten contacted yet about the status of my application!
  6. ahh gotcha!! I just got asked for references yesterday so hopefully we'll find out soon! Have fun abroad!
  7. I just had my interview today! I absolutely LOVED the hospital and the unit where I shadowed! My interview was also very short ( I don't know how I feel about this)! The nurse manager was great! They didn't mention when I would hear back just said that I was the last interview for them and hopefully soon! I guess the waiting game starts again
  8. ahh okay! That def makes sense! I'm so glad you enjoyed the unit and I really really hope it works out for you!! I wasn't planning on taking interview clothing but maybe I should just in case! I'm so so so excited to shadow and see how the unit is but I'm very nervous about the interview part! 2 weeks is reasonable! Good luck to you!!
  9. Omg yay! I have mine this Friday and I'm so nervous just keep an open mind they might have loved you but they wanted to consider all their options before they made a decision!! did they tell you when you might hear back?! Also did you stay in scrubs the entire time?!
  10. update: called the contact person and we are allowed to wear our scrubs for the entire interview day! they actually prefer it apparently! :)
  11. Hey I just got a confirmation for my interview! So its going to be the shadowing aspect first which we have to wear scrubs to and then we can bring a change of clothes for the sit down interview because they'll give us time and a room to change!
  12. Me too! They asked me to come in this Friday but I already had something for my med surg class lined up that day so I asked if I could come in next Friday and they said they were going to have confirm with the manager but that should be okay! When is your interview?! Are you going to wear business formals or scrubs?! I'm confused because they said it's an interview and shadow so we would be on the floor for a part of our time there!
  13. I was so surprised when I got that email! And same I emailed the contact person but no reply yet! I'm sure it'll take some time to get in touch with the nurse managers and stuff!
  14. Ahh so exciting! I'm hoping this interview goes well!
