I've noticed that there is no conversation about the Penn Nurse Externship Program that begins this summer so I thought I would create this as an area to talk about the application/hiring process! I applied to the Penn Student Nurse Externship Program in January and just heard back last week about an online interview (which I completed!). Im currently waiting to hear back about an in-person interview!
Did anyone else apply, if so when did you hear back from Penn and were you notified of an In-Person Interview?!
Congrats Coffeefirst on the in-person! I haven't heard anything from them unfortunately but I was wondering what unit since I thought maybe not all the specialties had gotten around to interviewing yet.

hey jenga3! Sorry you haven't gotten contacted it! You maybe right though they might be doing it by unit! I'm interviewing with the Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit (CICU)! I hope it works out for you!
Me too! I emailed the contact person for my floor but I haven't heard back yet. I'm still shocked they even asked me to interview haha

Me too! They asked me to come in this Friday but I already had something for my med surg class lined up that day so I asked if I could come in next Friday and they said they were going to have confirm with the manager but that should be okay! When is your interview?!
Are you going to wear business formals or scrubs?! I'm confused because they said it's an interview and shadow so we would be on the floor for a part of our time there!

I haven't set an exact date, but I have to do it on a Weds since it's my only day off! And I asked in my email if there was anything I needed to bring or wear so I'll let you know when I get a response.
