okay so I know the basic dressing you do right at the entry site of the peg tube with the whole in the middle to prevent irritation or any leakage...
My question is any neat suggestions on how to keep the long tube from dangling. I know you can take gauze and then cover it but when you are doing meds and Q6 hour feedings it seems like a waste of products.
Any suggestions on how to make a little pocket out of the gauze to hold the the tube in place. As of now for this pt I am just using an abd pad...but that has to be hot. I work in inpatient rehab so...mobility is key here LOL. any suggestions?

drain tube sponges for the precut hole and the tube will stay in a nice neat coil if you wrap the end through. hope this helps.

If your facility has stat locks for Foley catheters, put one on the pts abd then you can clip the end of the peg tube into that. Then it can clip in and out for feedings and will not need replaced everytime.

Depending on how long the tube was I would always tie it in a very loose knot
