Peds ATI Next Week ... HELP!!!!

Nursing Students Student Assist

Hello All,

I'm taking the OB/Peds ATI's next week and I'm really concerned about the Peds one. In our program we have to make at least a level 2 on the ATI in order to pass the class. We get two chances to take the test, but I really want to pass the first time. I've heard that a lot of people have a hard time passing this test. Does anyone have any suggestions about passing it? I've been reading the ATI books ... is this enough? What parts should I really be focused on? What types of questions were on the test? Any tips that will help me pass this test would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Thanks!

No, we have regular class tests that our teacher makes up or gets from a test bank. We also have a comprehensive final for all of our classes. The ATI's are an addition to these things. If your school had them believe me you would know because first you have to pay for the tests and the practice tests. It's a specific website you have to go on to do all this. I would say you are lucky because you don't have to worry about the stress of taking them.

It's a standardized test that we have to take for almost every class we take in nursing school. It's designed to test whether or not you will be able to pass the Nclex or not. We have two chances to pass for each test we take and if we don't pass them then you fail the class. In our program you can only fail two classes. It's basically telling the school if we would be able to pass the Nclex on the first try when we graduate. The tests I just took were pretty hard and I studied a lot for them. I'm just glad I passed and it's over with :yeah:

are u serious? omg...we only have the mid curricular and the exit exam thank god!:yeah:

congrats on passing!!

Hey! So how was the new PEds ATI?? From what I am hearing all the new exams seem to be a bit more difficult. Do you happen to remember anything I should really review? I have the exam this week. Honestly, peds has to be the more difficult class for me or whatever reason. Btw congrats on passing!

It was actually easier then the OB one to me and that's the one everybody was saying was going to be easy. I would recommend that you study the Peds ATI front to back if you have time. I did it within about 3-4 days. Focus on developmental stages (alot of that was on the test), any kind of lab values, there were a lot of head injury questions on mine and also medication administration. Those are just some of the basics to review but if you can try to read the whole book. Good luck on your test I'm sure you will do well. :)

With ATI and nursing school in general most people do better on either peds or ob I know i hit a level 1 in ob and level 2 in peds. I hated ATI and honestley do not think it helped at all. Hurst review helped me more than anything. I strongly recommend this program. We took it before our last semester then did a refresher after graduation and passed on first attempt. I also used saunders nclex review all throughout school it was a great review quick study good luck to you

Ok! Today I passed level 2 of ATI for OB. IT WAS A BEAR! I did all the practice questions, almost 250 questions and it seemed like the 2 proctored ones were foreign. It’s crazy how it seems like ATI knows what I do know and asked me questions that I have no clue about. I know that some programs actually do that but it’s nuts how hard it got!. So glad it’s done!
