Here are the exact steps to see if you passed the NCLEX exam on the Pearson Vue web site.
Updated:
Very important: At this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; it just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc.
This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'Records indicates you have recently registered for this test please contact BON. An appointment cannot be scheduled at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
Your Pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick.

Let's hope so. well now that I think about it may I didn't have as much pharm qs as I think I did. My first pop up was actually something along the line of "you have an open registration at this time"? but that was when my delivery status was "ready for delivery" so I don't think it's accurate. So I waited til it says "delivery successful" to do the PVT, & got the GOOD pop up. But why do I not have a good feeling???? I went home and searched some of the questions that I could remember, & knew that I got about 3Qs wrong.. 3 easy ones too >.
Do you think they'll post it up within 1 week online?
Oh & there seems to be a new pop-up that should say that 'you've passed' (that everyone's talking about in this forum)? Does that apply to CA, do you know anything about that?
Oh ok so our pop up at first was different. But you should have a good feeling considering that everyone that got that pop up passed! But I guess we'll never really know until like 3 business days. It usually takes 3 business until our names go on the BRN site, so maybe tues? And yes I did get 3 SATAs in a row. But I looked at the SATAs as a good sign because those are considered higher level questions. And as far as the new pop up..i thought the pop up we got now is the new one, no? If not, then i'm not too sure about the new pop up.
I took the pn test today, feb 23 2012 and did the trick and got the good pop up. The test shut off at 85 questions. I had LOTS of SATA, 2 q putting things in order, a couple of meds that I had never heard of before, a bunch of mental health and the rest were slip/fall, infection control and which indicates understanding or needs more teaching statements.
yup... someone actually got a pop up that said they've passed... & they took the nclex rn in ca as well.
hello all, i just took nclex rn this am at 730 this morning in california. i tried the pvt and this is the pop up that i keep getting.......

If you read the whole thread (the way I did while waiting for the CA BRN to post my name) you'll see that the "good" pop up changed around November/December 2011 and has been consistently the "you have previously scheduled this exam, contact your member board, another registration cannot be made at this time" since then.
I'm new to the website but I've used it as a crutch since finishing my exam just to retain some sanity. I took my exam Friday 2/24/12 at 8am. I finished around 10:15am. I went home and checked the Pearson Vue website around 11am and noticed the status said "Delivery Successful". I didn't hear about the "trick" until an hour or so afterwards. Of course I had to try it and got the good pop-up message. About 49 hours later (Sunday at 9am) I paid for the quick results which stated I passed. Obviously the trick worked for me and quite honestly helped ease my anxiety through those torturous 49 hours.
I felt confident about a few days before the exam that I would do good. As time got closer I was very anxious and just wanted to get it done with! I took my time during the test, I had about 20 or so SATA, 1 exhibit, 5 correct order questions, and the rest multiple choice. My computer stopped at 75 questions. I was not confident at all about how I did. I thought it was a real possibility that I failed this test! Thankfully the PVT was accurate and now I am a nurse!
FYI: The Pearson Vue quick results only tells you if you passed, no detailed scoring

Omg HelloM1M1! I'm in the same boat as you! I took the NCLEX in CA this morning also and got 75q with maybe 20-25 SATAs and lots of pharm. When I first did the PVT the pop up said "The candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time". I got worried and posted here cause TatyanaClaire said she got that pop up but failed =/ But now I checked it again and it said the same pop up as yours! "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time." Which is the good pop up!!!! So I'm pretty sure that we passed!
