I took my test on the 15th of August and received the good pop up (I'm in CA)

Since then, I've been checking daily and continued to get the good pop up until yesterday. Yesterday there was a website update. A complete new look and no more suspenseful pop up message. It seems that everyone is not going to the CC page. I proceeded to submit my credit cars information and process and the "good pop up" will appear then. If you failed apparently it will take your money. So the good pop up is still alive and well we just have to be a little more risky to get to it. I suppose if you fail & they take your money it's inevitable anyhow. Good luck everyone! I attached a print screen of the new "good pop up"

Okay, as you can see from my above post, I just stressed out after reading your post and seeing that the pop up was on the second step. I couldn't take it any longer so I went ahead and submitted the final time and........it was then that I got the same pop up that you did remaining on the second step!!!!! I am so relieved and have only the good Lord to thank!

Yay!! Awesome! Congrats! So happy that you have found some relief this whole process is definitely anything other than fun and for them to change the site on us like that just added to the unnecessary stress.

Wow. Sometimes the posts on this forum just makes me shake my head wondering how in the world people smart enough to get through nursing school can come up with some of this stuff. Without even mentioning that putting in a credit card number that has not got enough on it to pay for the item is illegal, what does the popup mean when you get the "Sorry your credit card was declined"? And do you REALLY want PV to have a record of you trying to pay for an exam with a bad credit card? If you did indeed fail, you are going to need PV! What if enough people try this that they start reporting to the BONs to make it stop, and it affects your license, because it is illegal.

The PVT was a computer glitch that we all utilized, now it's gone and things are going to work the way they were designed to work. It sucks, but do not compromise your future license to beat the system with an illegal maneuver.

I've been getting the good pop up daily since my testing. I read from another post that the good pop up is still there so I decided to try it. I definitely do not want the system to take my money if it wasn't true. If your card doesn't get processed or you don't get the good pop up, you'll just have to be prepared to register again and pay the $200 once more. Thank you for your post though, as long as I've been able to help someone looking for answers my purpose of the post is complete.

The good pop up will appear after you submit your payment information in. If you failed, most likely the registration fee of $200 will be debited.

It looks like the new process is a little different from the old one. I would imagine that now you do put your info into the system at the CC page (step one) and then you're taken to step 2... which is probably a confirmation page and if all looks good (and you failed) the next step would be clicking "Submit" or "Confirm" or something to that effect which is when you'd actually pay for the next exam because you're completing step 2 and moving to step 3.

If this is the new order of the PVT, I think we're going to have to all re-write our instructions about how to do the PVT reliably and without actually having people pay for another test.

You are absolutely right, let me do a screen shot of the steps needed to get to the good pop up and rue to explain the process better. Yes, everyone should realize there is a risk of losing $200. In my case, the good pop up just happens to remain even after submitting my credit card information.

After you begin the registration process and submit the necessary information from the questions asked, you will have screen 2 appear (I did this briefly off my phone, it may look different in PC). Select next, then you will be prompted to plug in your credit card information and on the bottom of that page, (screen 4) you will have to hit the next button. Once doing so, either the "good pop up" will appear or you will have been debited the $200 for you to register for a new appointment. This process differs from the previous trick because now we actually have to submit our credit card information in before getting a good pop up whereas the previous system did not require our credit card information.

I took my test august 19 and got the good pop up 20 minutes after taking the test. I tried to re register everyday since then. I saw they were undergoing maintenance, then the next day it was a completely different website! I'm scared to risk paying 200$. I'm praying to God that since I got the pop up 4 days it's a good sign. Good luck everyone! Hopefully California will get quick results soon!:nailbiting:

By what I'm reading, it seems that the people who received the good pop up prior to the update are passing. Yes, $200 is not pocket change. Hopefully California will participate in Quick Results soon and * crossing fingers * that our letters will come sooner than later with good news for us ?
