I just took my NCLEX today and I've done the Pearson Vue Trick and got the "good pop up." Has anyone gotten the "good pop up" and actually did not pass the test?
Also, since I took it on a Friday and Labor Day is on Monday, will it take longer for me find out if I actually passed? Everyone in my class who has taken it has told me their license posted 48 hours after testing, but everyone else has taken theirs on either a Monday or a Tuesday.
Any and all info would be helpful! Thanks!
I took my exam on Thursday, and got the good pop up! Am I the only person that doesn't want to pay for quick results? If I were really worried I might not have passed I'd be more inclined, but I feel pretty confident. I just feel like the whole testing industry is a bit of a racket, between all the prep programs and materials, fees and the like, I just don't want to give them $8 more. Maybe that just means I'm cheap.

I didn't want to either. I intended to wait until the boards of nursing updated tomorrow but I felt sooooo bummed after the test I had to find out ASAP. Good luck. Good pop is usually a great sign. 99.9% of test takers (including myself) has received passing with the good pop up.
I just took the RN exam on Wed., Sept. 4th. The test shut off after 75 questions. I did the PVT and got the good pop up. I just got my license number today from the state of Indiana saying I am now a RN. I have to admit I was a little unsure about the PVT. One of the girls from class took her exam the same day and had her license number posted from the state of Indiana on the same day of our exam. So I was nervous when I wasn't showing up in the Indiana state board of nursing and I tried the PVT numerous times and got the good pop up each time. 48 hours after the exam I ended up paying the $7.95 for quick results because I still wasn't showing up on the Indiana website. A little over an hour later, the Indiana state board of nursing had issued my license number. So now I can say I am officially an RN!! :)

I feel the same way you do. I was NO WAY going to pay a dime more just to get "early results". I figure I had to shell out so much money just to register with the state board of nursing, have my fingerprints taken & background check, then $200 on top of all that for the exam, and $30 for a Saunders book/CD, I wasn't in the mood to spend another solitary nickel on this thing. Fortunately I passed on the first try (shut off at min. questions, did pvt = good popup) and got my license. If I hadn't it probably would have been a while for me to retest for economic reasons. Now I can start looking for a home care or nursing home part time job to help fund the rest of my nursing education
I think I was the most skeptical person when it came to this trick. I took my exam on September 3, 2013. A classmate and I both had 78 questions and she failed. I was freaking out until I came across the trick. I got the "good pop up" but I still wanted to see Pearson Vue say "pass". 48 hours later, they did! I'm a believer!
Hi, I recently took NCLEX-RN on 10/22/13, and received my results on 10/26/13. I passed! :) The Pearson vue "trick" does not always work. Less than a day after I took my test, I logged on to Pearson vue, and I was brought to the cc page.
Hi Nic619, Congrats! I hope you're right about pvt doesn't always work. Because I'm really really depressed, feeling down, since yesterday because of that cc page. I was still hoping that I pass, but if not I guess I should accept it and try harder the next time. Can you enlighten me about it? Tomorrow is my 48 hours to be able to check for quick results, *fingers-crossed*

I hope you are right! I took my exam this past Saturday afternoon as well. I've gotten the good pop up sign all weekend (believe me I check every couple of hrs). I'm beginning to lose sleep over this ?. I hope I get my quick results today.
